The Edinburgh International Festival runs for three weeks each August, and along side runs the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The whole city is full of jolly people having a great time, and the energy in town is infectious. Even after 21 years, I never tire of it.
Because Lucky likes to be out and about, and as he's a dream to walk on the lead, we thought we'd take him for a grand day out yesterday. But we three don't necessarily jump into action first thing on a Saturday, so we lounged around at home first,
before, eventually, setting out.
The town is absolutely heaving with people, and everywhere we went, the familiar echoes of 'ridgeback', 'handsome', and 'beautiful' followed us. People seemed to gravitate to Lucky, as they usually do, and he made plenty of new friends.
We took in the sights, which, as a local, is fun to do at this time of year. The weather cooperated too.
On our way home, we stopped at The Barony Bar, scene of so many of our fun times, for a well deserved beer, and rest.
What a joy it is to have such a beautifully behaved boy, who can be taken anywhere. A fabulous family day out.
